Standout Tracks: Angel In Hell, Self Immolation, Undead War

Bringing the thunder from Plant City, FL, Untoten Krieg blend thrash elements with progressive death metal to form something intriguing. The only videos I could find of the band were live clips on YouTube, and it doesn't look like they are currently signed to a label.

I'm guessing these videos are phone recorded due to the lack of balance in sound, but you still get a good idea of what Untoten Krieg can do. The first song I checked out was “Self Immolation”, and while it started a little slow, it becomes a solid thrash/progressive death sound with a kick-ass drum/bass riff followed by some good guitar work.

They seem to pick up steam as their songs progress. “Undead War” has an excellent guitar solo, and the gang vocals are catchy and used well. “Angel In Hell” features some grind elements, and that could be my favorite song they have posted online so far.

It's surprising a dude the size of the vocalist can sound like an angry WWF wrestler on a steroid binge; hes a great fit for the band's sound though. I'm really interested to hear what these guys sound like on CD. Untoten Krieg is worthy and ready to release a proper EP or LP, how about a label give them some help?
